@bong – There is no current cure for dengue fever. However, treatment is usually symptomatic (treating the symptoms). Avoid giving aspirin for fever.

One of my observation nowadays like in my native place Bacolod I used to observed swamps & canals on my younger days (70s) there used to be plenty of mosquito fish & other local fresh water fish. I believe partly they feed by larvae of mosquitoes but right now they cant be seen in our canals, swamp and watery areas. Outbreak partly contributed by damage of our environment ecosystem in which mosquitoes breeding right now are uncontrollable. Even our local common lizard on ceilings cannot be seen anymore they used to eat insects before.

Smalls living thing sometimes contributes to our wellness and ecosystem. I would suggest on dengue control people to used natural method, restoring this environment. Modern technology sometimes forgot the basic ecosystem.

Wondering if tawa tawa is so effective in curing dengue, how come DOH is not promoting it to px being admitted at the hospital? Since most px bloodcount returned back to normal, why not use this as their drink instead? And make it available for all dengue px.

I am a mother of 3 kids and I have this product which I am using for my three kids to prevent mosquito bite. Dengue causing mosquitoes can be avoided or limit their expansion by cleaning our surroundings , all stagnant waters like abandoned vases ,used black rubber wheel exterior, clogged gutters, dark plastic , bottles, containers must be cleaned and dried. One place that is invisible to us which have all the characteristics of a good nest for these mosquitoes is the toilet septic tank. The septic tank tube (air outlet) must be capped with a piece of used mosquito net to block mosquito passage . During the daylight most of them resting inside, to eradicate them i suggest put a piece of “calboro” then at instant covered .

my masteral thesis which im soon to conduct funded by the DOST, is utilizing gatas-gatas plant which im going to produce a beverage (naturally flavored). We’ll just see the result on this study since i have to sacrifice white mice in order to see the internal organ damages after taking the dosage of such beverage on its toxicity level.
